Frequently asked questions
The decision to invest in an LED sign should be driven by the business or organizational objectives you hope that the investment will yield. By being an informed buyer you will learn the right questions to ask and what features to consider. Epic Led is here to educate you on all aspects of LED signage so that you can make a confident decision on your project.
Epic LED sells LED signs directly to end consumers. However it is also our goal to help you form a relationship with a local sign company for a few reasons:
*Your local sign partner will be ready to help you navigate your local zoning and permitting process
*At installation your local sign company will be on site to guide your crew through the entire installation process
*After your sign is in place, we will assist in training your local sign company to provide the best customer support available for your solution.
Your LED sign purchase will involve several variables: sign size, color and display features among others. Each of these will impact the total price. The price of a quality product will usually run between $3000 for a small, basic sign to as much as $50,000 for a large full-color video display. Since an LED sign is such a significant investment many business owners are amazed at the ROI.
Monochrome is just one color of LED lights. Full color has 1.3 trillion gradients of color. When choosing between the two you'll want to consider your primary purpose for the sign. If its just text, monochrome will work fine. If you are interested in displaying pictures in your messages we recommend the full color option.
Pixel pitch is the size of the LED pixels and how tightly they are packed together. The tighter the pixels the more expensive but create a more vivid experience when viewers are typically closer to your sign. Pixels that are more spread out are less expensive and work well when viewers are further away. Think of pixel pitch as the resolution on your digital camera. When selecting a pixel pitch you'll want to consider whether the resolution will be high enough for your viewers to see and respond to your advertising. You'll also want to be mindful of whether you plan on showing images on your sign and the level of detail you want in those images.
There is no correct answer to this question but there are some things to consider when making a decision:
*How far away will viewers be from your sign?
*What speed will traffic be passing your sign?
*Will certain size of LED fit with your existing sign structure?
*Do local ordinances set limit on the size of an LED sign?
*How can you get the maximum visibility on a busy street?
